Weld County Elected & Law Enforcement Officials,
Please be advised that there are people in our community who have committed crimes against children.
If you haven't seen the porn being offered to our children in school, here is a sample. Over 5,500 book complaints from the Greeley/Evans community were delivered to the District 6 Board of Education on 12/12/22. Superintendent Deirdre Pilch called them all trash.
A new "book review committee" was formed and led by Wes Tuttle.
With help from the district's legal counsel, Nathan Fall.
Committee membership is invite-only. In fact, when a local pastor requested to sit on this book review committee, he was told that he would not be allowed to "because of his views". The committee membership list is not published, nor is it made available to the public, even upon request. A CORA request was also unsuccessful in obtaining the membership list.
Book review committee members and Superintendent Pilch determined that porn was "educationally suitable" for children 11 and up, and it is my understanding that it is currently accessible to children as young as kindergarten, in their school library.
Superintendent Deirdre Pilch previously called Toni Morrison's writing "pornographic material".
So, what is porn?
And what were 2 of the listed adult themes in the committee recommendation and Superintendent's final decision on the book, Beloved by Toni Morrison?
SEXUAL EXCITEMENT, of course, along with EMOTIONAL REACTIONS.
The content is so graphic that community members who appealed the Superintendent's decision were not allowed to read from the book at the appeals hearing for the book.
A community member said it best, it appears they want G-rated meetings, and X-rated schools.
As mentioned, the committee membership list is secret, so the following list of people who should be investigated is incomplete, but President Mathews tells us these committee members are "some of our best educators".
I am concerned that our children might be in the classrooms of these educators right now. The public is entitled to know if our children are in the presence of adults who desire for them to have access to pornography. Children in their care could be in danger, and are potentially being groomed. Perhaps through criminal investigation, the list of names of these committee members/educators can be acquired.
Here is a list of 6 people who have chosen, on record, to make pornography available to children.
1) Deirdre Pilch, District 6 Superintendent of Schools
She has the authority to overrule a committee's recommendation. She accepted this one, however, making the decision final, if no one appealed.
She's all smiles until you question her authority, policies, or pay scale.
Superintendent Pilch's decision, was ultimately appealed, kicking the final decision over to our Board of Education.
In a 5-2 vote, the District 6 Board of Education determined that pornography would remain available to children in District 6.
2) Michael Mathews, President of District 6 Board of Education, says he would have "no problem" with his own kids reading this book. Though, he felt it necessary to apologize to 2 high school students who heard 2 words read from the book Beloved, during the appeals hearing.
On the weekends, Michael Mathews masquerades as a Pastor at St. Patrick Presbyterian Church, where he says things like "We're not the damn do-gooder society".
3) Terri Pappas, Vice-President of District 6 Board of Education, motioned the board to uphold the book review committee's recommendation and Superintendent Pilch's decision to keep exposing children to pornography.
Pappas likes to point out when a public speaker is "not a parent of a student in the district", as if that renders their input irrelevant. It's as if she thinks no one should care about children in our community if they aren't the parent of a K-12 student in our district. Is Pappas a parent of a student in the district?
It's a moot point really, since they tax extort every property owner, and not just those who are currently parents of a student in the district. You might notice, that when it comes to promoting the narrative, they welcome input from community members who are not parents.
4) Natalie Mash is a nurse by trade, and regular attendee of Michael Mathew's church.
She cried her eyes out in a theatrical display over a parent reading from a book by Toni Morrison, at a school board meeting last September.
Through more tears, she apologized to the high school students who were in the room, for "not protecting them" from that content.
But, when it came down to her voting to protect children from this content, she voted to keep it available to students in our K-12 school libraries, noting its "great literary merit".
She states these excerpts "are for depicting the utmost dehumanization and abuse of a person". So, why would she, a mother, want to ensure that other people's children have the opportunity to be exposed to these graphic, dehumanizing stories of rape, abuse, bestiality and murder?
She tries to come off sweet and friendly - shy and docile, but just listen to her forcefully interject herself, as if she's the president of the school board. And recently, when a nice member of the public very eloquently answered Mash's question, Ms. Mash was left speechless, but her silent contempt was loud and clear, through her shifty eyes and body language.
5) Brenda Campos-Spitze, a gender-neutral, LatinX family physician at Sunrise Community Health (the #1 vaccinator in the county), called Beloved "a beautiful piece of literature" that she would "love for her 6th grader to pick-up".
6) Kyle Bentley, a small business owner and self-proclaimed conservative Christian
In the hall, after 5,500 book complaints were delivered to the board last December, he told community members that they couldn't "just come to meetings and move mountains", meaning the policies and procedures had to be followed for reviewing materials. It was out of his hands.
So, the public waited for the 1st of 11 book reviews to be completed. Four months later, the 1st decision was announced, and then appealed, placing the ball directly into his court. Listen to him explain how his Christian faith brought him to vote in favor of exposing children to porn.
The logic seems twisted, but District 6 appears to be the perfect place for twisted logic, along with secret, and in-your-face alliances.
An Ohio Mayor confronted the school board in his city and advised them that if they didn't resign from their positions, they would be criminally charged with distribution of child pornography. That isn't likely to happen here because our Mayor, John Gates, is also Chief of Security for District 6.
With or without resignation, criminal charges should be pursued against the adults who are exposing children to pornography, and those aiding and abetting them. Children in our community are likely being groomed by educators whose identities have been intentionally kept secret from the public.
This issue deserves your immediate attention. I implore you to launch a criminal investigation into the above named individuals who have made a conscious decision to make pornography available to children in our school district.
Please advise if further action is required in reporting these crimes.
